Ditch the Java Ladies!

I know many of you are cringing as you read this... "No... please don't take away my coffee!"

Sorry Ladies... but I'm here to share the truth...

Once you understand it's effect on your body you may want to switch to a better source of warm beverage - and there are a few really good ones out there!

Firstly, coffee is a diuretic. If you are drinking straight coffee, espresso, cappuccino, decaf coffee or organic coffee - they all have caffeine which is a diuretic. Actually ALL caffeine is a diuretic so give up ALL of your caffinated beverages.

Every person needs to drink 1/2 of their bodyweight in ounces of water daily. That means if you weigh 120 lbs you need 60 ounces of water - great. Well, not so great if you are drinking caffeinated beverages... The water you are drinking will be urinated out of you, and your body will be left dehydrated.

When you get dehydrated your body still needs water, so it starts to suck back the water from your bowels. This leaves your stool pebbly, dry and hard to pass. It slows down the transition time which increases the exposure of toxins and pressure in your colon. This increased toxin burden in your colon increases your risk for diverticulosis (outpouching of your colon) as well as diverticulitis (infection in those pouches) and colon cancer!

Constipated people also tend to have painful hemorrhoids and rectal bleeding!

On top of that, when your body is sucking back the water from your colon it is also sucking back the toxins from your colon! You see the liver packages up all of the toxins and puts them into the bowel where they should transition out of your body. When the body sucks back the water and toxins, the toxins circulate over and over leading to toxicity of the liver!

Unfortunately that isn't all of the bad news! The caffeine in coffee, tea, sodas etc. also increases your Cortisol levels!!! When your cortisol levels are high it leads to thyroid dysfunction and problems with weight gain as well ! The thyroid is the motherboard of the body - you don't want anything to mess with that!

SO... hopefully now you are ready to hear about alternatives to your sweet mug of Joe.

I would consider drinking naturally decaffinated teas that have zero caffeine.

I would advise to drink water - you can add a naturally decaffinated tea bag, or cut up fruit or cucumbers to flavor it.

If you must have something that looks and tastes like coffee consider using MUD WTR - a coffee substitute made of reishi mushrooms. The reviews are great, price is a little high, but it does come with a cool little frothing device.

If you are seeking total wellness - and especially if you are seeking improved fertility this is something you must seriously consider.

Take care and God bless,
